A wallet connection can look routine while granting meaningful permissions. Slow down whenever a property offer, document portal, or investment update asks you to sign.
Confirm the destination
Open the platform from a saved address, check the full domain, and avoid links in unsolicited messages. Impersonated support accounts often create urgency around a closing date, allocation, or expiring offer.
Read every request
A login signature should not request a transfer. Check the network, asset, amount, recipient, and permission scope on the wallet screen itself. Reject blind signatures or instructions you cannot interpret.
Reduce the blast radius
Use a separate wallet for browsing, keep larger balances in stronger custody, enable account alerts, and review approvals regularly. Never share a recovery phrase; legitimate agents and support staff do not need it.
